Chickens on the Wall

Chickens on the wall

Beg for apple bananas.

There goes my breakfast.

This is Puna, one of the wild chickens that lives in our backyard. She is one of 14 that hatched on Easter Sunday - At least that’s when the chicks first came parading through the yard. As such, I named them the Cottontails and have been feeding them bananas since they were babies. Puna’s siblings include Ola, Noni, and Ehu Girl… and they’ve become a little spoiled and will beg for whatever I’m sitting outside eating for breakfast! They also sleep in the tree outside our bedroom window and wake us at sunrise every morning. No alarm clock needed here!
